You should Join a clan to chat with clan members, send troops or receive troop donations and make sure to unlock clan castle first thing at town hall 3.

1. Use Baby Dragon as your CC troop and see the magic. It cost 10 Housing Space and easy to train/ cook it.
2. Wall Breakers will help to blow holes in walls to make it easy for ground troops to attack defenses when placed within walls.
3. You need to understand that you can only Copy Layouts at Town Hall 4 and above until then you create manually by placing buildings and defenses.
4. Save Gems to Unlock Extra Builder by collecting around 500 Gems from Obstacles, Achievements etc. 
5. Protecting Gold and Elixir storage is high priority for Farming Base Designs. However for Clan War and Trophy Base they act as meat shield.
6. Clan Castle (CC) can help you to redirect Goblins around base rather than Town Hall as its target. If you didn't get it reply and we'll answer.
7. Mortar can deal high amount of Splash Damage on opponents troops and keeping it in safe location is top priority at this level.
8. Remember to use one of these Layouts for Town Hall 3 so it can defend well against Archers, Barbarians and Giant attacks.

Remember to upgrade all defenses before upgrading to next level which is Town Hall 4.
